Analysis on different versions

I've been getting feedback that people actually like v1.9b the most. I'm going to attempt to explain why here.

1.9: The first update since the map became increasingly well-known. Many balance changes, mainly reducing the imbaness of Staff of Doom, and reduced the power of the overly imba XL razes. Removed the Frost Nova razes which were relatively unpopular, and added precision razes, which at that time, was not worth buying at all, being grossly underpowered. Attempted to fix the bug concerning Thundergod's Wrath sometimes not hitting enemies but I believe the bug still persists.

1.9b: Incresed the damage of precision razes. The only bug I think exists in this version is the Thundergod's Wrath bug.

2.0: Finally gave it a minimap picture, added the 4 and 5 kill streak sounds, increased various item cooldowns. Also did the sentry ward nerf. To me I didn't think the item cooldowns made much of a difference.

2.1: Removed the green base from the razes, so that it matches DotA's original one. Added BKB, which I thought was a great addition. Improved interface display etc. However some people go wtf at the model changes into Mortred/Omniknight. Also worth noting: as this version is the one I played most often, I noticed that precision razes are horribly overpowered in this version. You can one-hit a low level opponent with C raze when you're about 5-6 levels higher. Also, the cast range for Mortred/Omniknight's specials are icky.

2.2: Many failed additions were removed but the bugs which came with them stayed. To date I don't think there are any that are gameplay-related. One bug that exists in this version that didn't in old ones is that when the game ends, sometimes the victorious message fills the whole screen. In general, made everything cheaper, as well as gave the SFs less HP, and the damage from Shadowraze and Requiem scaling accordingly.

Shadowraze Wars v2.2

Not released yet due to immense amount of bugs which appeared when I tried to implement a Multiboard.

-Thundergods wrath damage 200 -> 150
-Mortred Blink Strike range 500 -> 800
-Purification range 500 -> 800
-Blink Strike damage 50 -> 75
-Omniknight cost 26 -> 25
-Death Revenant cost 50 -> 45
-Meteor raze cost 20 -> 18
-Omniknight Kill heals him for 75 HP instead of 50 HP
-Death Revenant Movespeed 290 -> 300
-Time limit for double kills increased from 9 to 10 secs
-Tome of STR: 4 gold for 25 HP (1 STR)
-Lothars edge, 20 gold. Invis 6 secs, 20% bonus movespeed. 45 sec cd.
-2 gold per minute in Team Mode
-Requiem slightly less damage to scale with new HP change
-Team mode sfs are now More distinctively coloured, albeit more ugly. This is to facilitate easy recognition of teammates
-Reduced Shadow Fiend's HP: From 50 hp per level (2 STR per level) to 75 HP per 2 levels (1.5 STR per level) (see below)
-Increased Revive time with level (see below)
-Reduced streak gold for 5 people and below match (see below)
-Changed Precision Raze damage, in general slightly nerfing it (see below)

Shadowraze Wars v2.1.

Entire Changelog:

-New Item: Black King Bar (spell immune 5 secs, cd 55 secs), costs 26 gold.
-Shadowraze damage type from Normal to Death (otherwise BKB doesn't work on shadowraze). Does not affect gameplay whatsoever.
-Player names now are coloured according to their player colour
-All players now start with 2 gold
-Host now does not need to be Red for game to start (highest player will choose mode and number of kills)
-Changed the Shadowraze so that now it looks exactly like DotA's one (removed the green base)
-Precision razes now have a red tint
-Increased Healing salve cooldown from 20 to 90 seconds.
-Decreased Precision Raze AoE to 140.
-Wand of Backstep now costs 8 gold.
-Added 3 upgrades, each of which change your Shadow Fiend into another Hero. It will still retain its spells (eg. XL raze), its ultimate (eg. Holy Requiem), HP, Level, Strength Bonuses from Tomes, Items, and number of AoE upgrades.

1. Change into Mortred, 22 gold, +20 movespeed, faster cast speed (lesser Cast Backswing). Also has Blink Strike, 20 second cooldown. When used on enemy unit, blinks to it and damages it for 50 damage.

2. Change into Omniknight, 26 gold, larger sight range (Day only), heals 50 HP whenever he gets a kill. Also has Purification, 30 second cooldown. Heals 100 HP to target allied unit and damages all around it in a 250 AoE for 100 damage.

3. Change into Aceildus, Death Revenant: 50 gold, -30 movespeed, faster turn rate, no cast time/animation/delay for Shadowraze

v2.1 beta

I tested version 2.1 beta with some pubs and it went pretty well except for some bugs. Changes I have made thereafter:

-BKB did not protect you from shadowraze (because its damage is triggered), but protected you from requiem
-Improved movespeed and turn rate of Death Revenant. (280 -> 290, 0.5 -> 0.3)
-Added new ability for Mortred: Blink strike. 20 second cooldown, when used, teleports Mortred to target unit. If it is an enemy unit, it does 50 damage. Cannot target wards.
-Omniknight now doesn't heal when he casts a spell, but has a separate purification spell, which heals 100HP to target allied unit and does 100 damage in a 250 AoE around it. 30 second cooldown.
-Increased Healing salve cooldown from 20 to 90 seconds.
-Decreased Precision Raze AoE to 140.
-Wand of Backstep now costs 8 gold.
